ABOUT
Hi, I’m Melissa.
I am a graduating senior at the University of Michigan, and I have been a Wolverine since I began watching football with my dad in fifth grade. I hail from Saline, a small town just outside Ann Arbor, and I get to drive by the beautiful Big House every time I travel between school and home.
Anything that allows me to express my creativity appeals to me, including but not limited to crafting birthday cards for friends, attempting new recipes in the kitchen, or playing the piano. I played piano for 11 years, which explains my love and appreciation for Chopin and Beethoven (but doesn’t explain my love for Eminem). You’ll find me perusing Pinterest for healthy (and sometimes very unhealthy) recipes, home decorating ideas, or new fashion trends. When Michigan weather doesn’t keep me inside, I love to be outside soaking up the sun or running and breathing in the fresh air.
I really love cats, and most of my close friends call me Melkitty. I own more cat shirts than I care to admit, and I have one actual cat named Milo. We take a lot of pictures together.
I also love humans, and I want to be a doctor. I will be applying to medical school after graduation (ahh!) and I am so excited to be a part of the healthcare field. The human body is just incredible, and our ability for innovation is mind-blowing.
As for right now, I’m finishing up my biology major and writing minor and trying to enjoy the rest of my time at this amazing school.
